Paint Splatter Party!!!
My little monkey turns 7 today - wow, 7 already, where does the time go. I love how she’s turning into her own unique, fun girl so she needed a fun, unique birthday party. I found this great place not far from us called 4Cats Art Studio for kids that throw kids parties I knew that would be perfect - especially since we’re moving in 9 days so at home party would be too much.
4Cats has a few options of art parties for kids but the one that seemed to be the most fun was the paint splatter party - or the Jackson Pollack party. There’s a room in the back of their studio called the Pollack room (AKA the splatter room) - it’s one messy room. I want one
First the kids started with paper on the wall that they got to paint and get to keep and then they moved to a large 3′ x 6′ canvas for the birthday girl that everyone splattered. Then everyone got a balloon filled with paint and air - and then on the count of 3 all the kids twisted and pop the ballon so the paint went everywhere - so fun and messy.
The “Pollack” room is all closed in with a window so parents can watch the fun from a safe distance from crazy kids with paint splashing everywhere. I wore old clothes so I could venture in and take some photos.
Messy hands and big smiles.
I was told after the party that this was the best party ever - who doesn’t like to get messy and actually be allowed to throw paint. Check to see if you have a 4Cats near you - or put up some drop clothes in your garage and let your kids go to town.
And to go with the party theme I made a splatter cake with the primary colours on the inside, splatter popcorn and a colour wheel of snacks - and Cheesies which seem to be a staple at kids parties.
Happy family photo with messy, happy kids.
Happy Birthday Lilo - we all love you and so proud of the great girl you’ve become.
