Isla’s First Day Of School

My baby girl, Isla, started school on Friday, Junior Kindergarten. She was so excited, and I was excited for her. I sometimes take for granted how lucky I am that my girls are excited and not scared of new situations. My heart was breaking for the parents of the kids who were crying on the first day. Isla on the other hand gave me big smiles and a wave as she went into her kindergarten door.

The skirt she wore on her first day I made after I helped Lilo make her skirt. Isla picked out the boarder fabric which is vintage Smurf fabric, from when I was a kid - this is why I never throw anything out. We bought the Smurf tee to match and don’t you just love the knee high socks?

Every photo I took of Isla she has the popped knee, hands on her hip and big smile - my little fashionista already.
