Tape Resist Painted T-shirt

On August 16, 2013 by voneinspired

My mom gave us a fabric painting kit - it had a bunch of different types of fabric paints; fun neons, squeeze bottle paints, fabric markers and crayons. I was excited to try them, and so were the kids. I bought us all some plain white tees and we went to it.

To make things interesting we started with taping off areas to create a resist. Lilo took her tape in lines down from the neck, then we taped up the neck band so it would stay white too. She loved all the colours so wanted to paint a rainbow. In my head, I thought she was going to paint each section a different colour but she did it this way instead and I think it’s much cooler looking.

I really love how this tee turned out, so bright and fun.
