Happy Belated Halloween
I know it’s late but I still wanted to share with you a picture of my kids on Halloween. I had plans to get some great photos but I’m not sure if it was because we just moved last weekend or because of the rain but I only got a few photos and no close ups of the details on the costumes. Oh well, I might get them to wear them again to get some better photos later.
It was a wet and chilly night so I’m glad I made the costumes so the kids could wear warm jackets and pants under their costume. For Isla’s Jewel Sparkle Lalaloopsy costume I made her a flesh colour undershirt and leggings that is stretchy enough that she could wear a jacket under the top and fleece leggings under the pants. Oh and I also made her flesh coloured mitts. The wig worked well to keep her head warm and dry - see how I made it here.
For Lilo I made the top of the dress stretchy for the same reason. She is wearing a really cool cape with a high collar but you can’t really see it. I got her wig from the dollar store and then I gave it a hair cut so it was shorter and fit nicer with the cape. She had fangs but they were bugging her because she has a loose tooth so she didn’t wear them.
I love the contrast of my 2 girls costumes
I hope you had a fun Halloween!! I’ve been enjoying checking out Facebook to see all my friend’s kids dressed up.
